Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian that has been in the business for a long time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She was on QI, alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known as her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish actor, writer and stand-up comedian. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011, after appearing as a guest on a variety of Irish television shows and British series from 2009. After 2012 she had been performing in sketch comedy shows or sitcoms as well as other similar programs. In 2012, after winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for various panel shows where she was a frequent guest. From 2016 to 2017 she was a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant in the show's spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born in the family of Brian O'Sullivan, the actress has one sister named Sinead. The only ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. Bea is her name to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is a Kildare born girl. She was born March 16th 1984. Her father Brian was an equine veterinarian who died when Bea was three years old, though she did not know what happened to him until she reached the age of thirteen. Her stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea's mother Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was in charge of taking care of her and Sinead. Her family were obsessed with racing and horses. Bea was a trainer for the Irish National Stud in her young teens. She knew, however, that racing wasn't what she wanted to be in a career and she preferred doing.
